Fish food

Anyone who's been to an amusement park (at least in the state of Ohio) has had the uneasy pleasure of feeding the fish. For a quarter, you can toss a handful of pellets at the gaping mouths of mud-colored carp that seem to completely fill the mud-colored artificially-produced waterways inside the parks. The feeding frenzy that ensues is a bit disconcerting, but entertaining nonetheless. There are two distinct feeding methods. One is to toss the entire handful of pellets at once and one is to carefully select a fish to feed individually. The second method is a bit more of a challenge and rarely works once all the others figure out what's up.
Now, if scientists have their way, feeding the fish will be helping out zoos as well. In St. Louis, they are gonna be lion lunch and bear breakfast.
