Lovely long weekend

• Memorial day, for the first time in recent memory was not miserably wet. Unfortunately, it was miserably hot. We skipped from April weather to August weather in about 2 days.

• What is the deal with asking if your weekend was "safe" after the fact? Obviously it can't have been that unsafe if you're around to answer the question.

• And now the hot new celebrity trend seems to be naming children after locations. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Kingston Rossdale. It makes you wonder about that old "named after where you were conceived" thing. My daughter Livingroom thinks that's a stupid tradition.
