So the senate has passed a law that will "ban 'cruel, inhuman or degrading' treatment of anyone in U.S. custody." And the White House doesn't like it. But here's Rummy to the rescue explaining again that "the president from the outset has said that he required that there be humane treatment."
I know there's been a lot said on this topic recently, but I keep coming to the point that confuses me: If we don't torture people as the administration and the CIA claim, then why are they against a ban on the activities which they say they do not use?
