The walls have ears

Or the parrot does at any rate.

Owner Chris Taylor didn't think much of it at first when Ziggy [the parrot] made slurpy, kissing noises every time he heard the name "Gary" on television.
But the penny finally dropped when, while Mr Taylor was cuddling his girlfriend Suzy on the sofa one night, the parrot blurted out, "I love you, Gary." What gave the game away was that Ziggy spoke the fatal phrase in Suzy's voice.

This never would have happened if it Suzy had been smart enough to always call Gary "Sweetheart."

Isn't it possible that the bird loves Gary?

Wouldn't it be cool if there were a race of truth-telling parrots that would whisper in our ears all the things we need to know but no one will tell us?
