What our current administration thinks of Iraq:

" [LATimes] And Mr. Hadley on Face the Nation today: "The interesting point here is what conclusions the communities draw from this difficult week. They've stared into the abyss a bit. And I think they've all concluded that further violence [in Iraq], further tension between the communities is not in their interest."

I think instead of a Lame Duck we have a Head-in-the-Sand Ostrich.
