Hold your fire

This whole cease-fire thing is really ticking me off. I was under the impression that a "cease-fire" was negotiated for the purpose of temporarily stopping the killing in order to establish a lasting peace through diplomatic channels. Apparently, our warmongering leaders think that the Israelis and Hezbollah (however it is spelled) should continue slaughtering eachother. Perhaps in the hopes that they will ultimately wipe eachother off the map and that will establish a "lasting peace."
