Amnesty National

President Bush is trying to push through a law that would provide amnesty for administration-endorsed torturers while at the same time maintaining that the U.S. has not used any practices outlawed by the Geneva Convention. If no "outrages upon personal dignity" occurred (outside of the anomoly of Abu Grahib at which they were caught on film), then why bother with a law that would protect the government employees who supposedly don't do this stuff?
