Oddly, it's legal elsewhere--I don't remember which state, though. David Sedaris does a piece on it in one of his books.
I knew I couldn't be the only person who thought this was worthy of comment. The Sedaris piece must be in one of the books I haven't read. (Which is all but Me Talk Pretty One Day)
