Kitty Alzheimers

Senility is not limited to human beings. Cats get dementia too.
"Good diet, mental stimulation and companionship can reduce the risk of dementia in cats, the researchers said."

Which begs the questions: How can you tell if a cat has dementia? Does it forget you more or less often? and How do you mentally stimulate a cat?

Sadly, cat dementia tends to strongly resemble cat anger. Mostly, they forget where the litter box is. You stimulate them by playing games (assuming, of course, that your almighty cat will condescend to play); catnip comes in handy as do other cats and any size dog--the cat can beat up anything from Chihuahua to Rottweiler and I once knew a cat who tried to take on a truck (luckily it was parked....).
