The opposite view of buying votes: the sellers.
Villagers in a small town in China are disgruntled that the politicians this election kept their pledge to not buy votes. Apparently, the village feels that an election without bribery is just "peanuts".
I guess there's some good money in selling a vote. Or there used to be. As Old Man Chen points out in the article, they get elected village boss "and all we got was a bowl of rice and bottle of beer."
