My garden this year is a bit of a disappointment. Last year on this very day, it was in full bloom. This year, I have one iris, none of the lilies are up and my rose is a spindly thing with not a single blossom.
For now, we'll pretend that it looks like this:

At least you have hope. Since we got a dog, our landscaping evokes one wince after another. "Where did that branch come from?"
