Today I pay my respects to the men who have somehow convinced us that the "proper" pronunciation of the name Ralph does not include the letter L. Ralph Vaughan Williams and Ralph Fiennes, this post is for you.
Through sheer force of will, it seems, you have managed to get people --including Wikipedia, which prints Ralph (pronounced "Rafe"[1]) in its entry on composer Vaughan Williams.-- to make the name Ralph sexy.
