Does anyone remember
The Tweedlebugs? They lived in a cereal box in Ernie's flower box. I don't think Bert ever knew about them. (Perhaps he was too consumed by his pigeons.)
I can still remember --decades ago-- watching as the Tweedlebugs on Sesame Street chose to go to the zoo. After much discussion, they decided to take the car to the zoo. The skit ends with the bugs carrying their matchbox car to the zoo.
At the tender age of 7 (or so) I thought this was hilarious. So hilarious that my sister and I still quote it: upon making plans to meet somewhere in our car, her car or the train my sister said, "We'll take the car to the zoo!" in a perfect Tweedlebug voice.
Are we the only two people who remember this?
