Undecided

I'm torn on what to post about today. I've been a long time tossing ideas around. Too long.
I can't decide if I should weigh in on the stupidity of comments following actor Owen Wilson's suicide attempt including this one:

Brillstein said the apparent suicide attempt is "serious, but it's a singular case. Anyone can have a bad day, a very bad day."

Idiot. Trying to kill yourself is not "a very bad day."

Or there's the Miss Teen South Carolina "interview" debacle which had all the NBC infotainers tripping over themselves to let her get a do-over. The do-over in which she solomnly told us that

"Well personally, my friends and I, we know exactly where the United States is on our map. I don't know anyone else who doesn't."

Our map? Do her friends have a special map? And I'm sure you'll agree that as long as Miss South Carolina doesn't know anyone who can't find the United States on a map, then all is right with the world.

Or there's the obscene (and I mean this in the stomach-churning way) bequest that Leona Helmsley made to her dog. There is no possible way to comment on the small-minded arrogance that sees 12 million dollars as appropriate for dogfood.

It's all crap. Take your pick.
