Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2007

"The most popular category, 'Animal portraits', was won by Sergei Goskhov for his close-up of a bear in eastern Russia. Gorskhov was concentrating on capturing leaping wild salmon on camera when he suddenly noticed the bear staring at him."

...and had the nerve/stupidity/presence of mind to shoot a photo instead of running for his life. Of course we can never know if he peed himself. (I would have.)

Why didn't he just shoot it dead? The only good commie bear is a dead commie bear.
