In a previous post, I promised more characters that I've "discovered." One such seems to be a relative unknown (at least on the web) and shouldn't be.
I've found just two independent reviews (not including the Amazon listings) of Theophilos (aka Feste) the Fool. This character is so well-written that I can't believe more people haven't made his acquaintance. Some fan somewhere should at least have a fansite, no?

1.) "Alan Gordon’s books are wonderful – clever, funny, beautifully plotted. ...The banter and the wordplay are lovely, and there are some really hilarious juggling scenes."
2.)"You will revel in the delicious mix of history, fantasy, and fiction plotted around crime solving and the higher aims of the guild to be the agency for the good—or at least the good order—of a growing Christian world order spreading from Venice to Constantinople."
