Where the caboose came from

I'm often accused of having an untraceable train of thought, but today I'll let you in on where the engine began so you can see how the caboose came to be what it is.
The caboose, in this case is the unusual official international abbreviation for Switzerland: CH
Following that backward, I discovered that CH stands for Confoederatio Helvetica which is derived from the Latin name for the Alpine area between Italy and Germany. That Latin dates back to the Roman Empire, which in turn, began its world ascent historically with the reign of Augustus Caesar. Augustus, perviously known as Octavian, would not have gained power were it not for his resounding victory over Marc Antony. That battle of Actium was the engine that started the train.
So you can see how perfectly logical it is to go from the vanquishing of Antony and Cleopatra to the international abbreviation for Switzerland in a few easy steps.

Scary?
