In light of the recent web ad against gay marriage, Stephen Colbert, among others, has come out with a parody. A very funny parody.
The only comment I will add to the topic is in the form of a question. What the heck is so scary to those of you who don't want to allow same-sex marriage? Granting the right to marry will not make your marriage fall apart. It will not turn you or your spouse gay. It will not "open the door" to man-llama marriages in the future. And it is not "no big deal."
Any time one group of people deny access to anything for another group of people, it is a big deal.
Besides, my Long-Suffering Husband has been married for nearly 17 years and he just doesn't see the appeal. I figure anyone who wants on this ride ought to be allowed. We have few enough converts in the actual ranks.
