A light four-book week, (We'll see more of these as the weather demands I pursue activities out-of-doors.) but nonetheless, a real winner in Arturo Perez-Reverte's The Club Dumas.
I normally wouldn't recommend a book that makes me feel like a moron, but this story is so good, I had to forgive Perez-Reverte for his Latin asides. (Does anyone read Latin outside of Vatican City?) I'm not even sure I'd call this book a mystery; it's more of a bibliophile's puzzle. Books and puzzles!? Throw in some sex and chocolate and it may be the perfect date.
I'd also recommend all of this author's Captain Alatriste novels to fans of Dumas' D'Atagnan.
