It was another week of seven books. I had a tough time deciding the winner. I enjoyed all the books, but none was a standout. I'm gonna hand it to Jane K. Cleland's Consigned to Death.
This cozy mystery marries antiques appraisal to murder in a charming New England setting. There's enough antiquing information to be interesting, but not overwhelming. The mystery itself is straight-forward and simple, but the characters are well-drawn and endearing.
