Shop girl

My Punkinhead has made it to the ripe old age of 17 before becoming a mall rat. For the past three days, her free time has been spent walking the mall. Where have I gone wrong!? For 16 years she showed no interest in shopping and the mall's only appeal was the free samples at Sakkio. Now she's asking to go every night. Oh, the horror.
Please, when you see a pack (gaggle? scrum? tantrum?) of teenagers at the mall next time you're there, know that their parents are probably good people who did everything in their power to prevent what you're witnessing. I know I did.

Our local mall has a no-unaccompanied-teenager policy.

From a business point of view, perhaps it would make more sense to not allow adults unless accompanied by a teenager.
