Another week of eight and a clear-cut winner in Elinor Lipman's newest novel, The Family Man. How her stories can be charming, ridiculous, simple, heartwarming and universal all at the same time while seeming effortless is an amazing feat. Any novel I finish with a silly smile on my face and the characters whirling through my head guarantees a thumbs-up.
