I'm normally not a fan of "magic" in books, but this week's paltry showing of five books forces me to make an exception. My choice this week is Amanda Quick's Second Sight. This is chick-lit through and through, and the resolution is, of course, a foregone conclusion.
(I have noticed that I have a partiality to books with guaranteed happy endings.)
The magical element in the story is the alleged psychic abilities of the main characters. But for all its predictability and mind-reading, the story is well-written and a fun read.
