When I first heard about the "mosque at Ground Zero," the image conjured was of minarets and muezzins right there, where the twin towers had once stood. The reality is drastically different: a Muslim community center two blocks away in an abandoned building that formerly housed a Burlington Coat Factory.
I can understand how the first scenario might ruffle some feathers, but I don't see how either one is against the law.
The First Amendment guarantees everyone's right to worship his or her god, no matter how unpopular. No matter how badly you or Glenn Beck or Barack Obama or anyone may want to believe that this is a "Christian" nation, the very first sentence of the very first amendment to the sacred United States Constitution says otherwise.

It says Congress shall make no law, but it doesn't say Sarah Palin can't make a law, does it?? Huh? Huh???
