When did pumpkin carving move from three triangles and a mouth to an undergraduate degree? The pumpkins you see in the magazines and home style shows are so extravagant that they might be sculpture. I don't know about you, but that seems like an awful lot of work for something that's going to get lit up for one night and tossed in the trash within a week. When they first came out, the patterns were unique and cool, but now every other squash is wearing a Wolf-Howling-at-Moon or Trio-of-Bats.
At any rate, I'd best get some designs sketched because we have a pumpkin-picking weekend scheduled and I need to have some Fine Art ideas.
Maybe I'll draw the triangles upside down this year... .
