Speak your mind.

I told my Congressperson that I LIKE the health care bill and do not want it repealed at all or in part.
I hope you tell your Representative the same. Find him or her here.

In a representative government, your designated representative doesn't know what you think unless you tell them. And they are supposed to represent you. My daughter had a genius idea for reforming the way our House of Representatives is elected. Her solution is not only feasible, it would eliminate graft and the need for financial reform. Here is what we do:
  1. Anyone who meets the constitutional requirements for office can run.
  2. No candidate's personal information is released. No photographs. No names. The election board certifies that the candidate meets requirements, and the candidate remains anonymous throughout the election.
  3. Each candidate states his or her position on every issue of government that might be pursued during a legislative session, from school prayer to declaring war and all points in between.
  4. The voter votes, not for candidates, but for issues. The ballot will include options for how you feel about every issue in the political spectrum and a ranking for how important each of the issues is to you.
  5. The computer selects the candidate who most accurately reflects your views.
Best of all... NO OBNOXIOUS ROBOCALLS OR VICIOUS ADVERTISING!
This can totally work. Pass it on.
