Friday Book Blogging

This week's top book was such a quick read that it seems like cheating to choose it. However, it was also the book that resonated the most with me. David Levithan's The Lover's Dictionary is the story of a love affair in definitions. The book is a series of words and their meanings within the parameters of the author's relationship.
We learn about the elation and the heartbreak amid the mundane daily chores of a relatively newly-minted couple. The astonishing aspect of the book is that, despite the fact that the entire story is composed solely in dictionary format, it truly does tell a poignant story and provides the definition of the redemptive qualities of love.
