You may have seen on the news last week that it was Chinese New Year and we have ushered in the year of the Rabbit. What you probably don't know is that we are smack in the middle of the new year's celebration which traditionally lasts FIFTEEN DAYS and that's not counting the scrubbing and cleaning beforehand!
Wiki says, "[E]verybody should be back to work by the 8th day. All of government agencies and business will stop celebrating by the eighth day." Sorry folks: back to work. But in five days on February 15th, you'll have vegan day to look forward to. "On the 13th day people will eat pure vegetarian food to clean out their stomach due to consuming too much food over the last two weeks."
You did miss the traditional lion dance on the first day, but pop over to youtube and scope out some of their acrobatics.
