Last year I noted that our Groundhog Day is what used to be celebrated as Candlemas. Even before Candlemas, it was Imbolc.
Today is the midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox (for those of us living in the Northern Hemisphere). Just in case you were thinking it might be an early spring this year, Mother Nature decided to disabuse you of that notion.
I don't give a bunny's butt if the groundhog saw his shadow. I want someone to help me shovel the ice/snow out of my driveway.
