Friday Book Blogging

Today, I'm finally able to put up a book blog. I can assure you, it was not worth the wait.
The winner of the struggle this week was a new-to-me series by Marianne Macdonald featuring an antiquarian bookseller named Dido Hoare and her eccentric father Barnabas, a retired professor. Death's Autograph sounds more promising than it is.
Dido is not-so-endearingly saddled with annoying neuroses, but her father is wonderful. The plot is suitably complex, but the writing is, at times, pretentiously vague.
If you like the idea of an antiquarian bookseller solving mysteries, try John Dunning's Cliff Janeway series; it's MUCH better.
