Another completely frivolous week of books of which my favorite was M.C. Beaton's Death of a Sweep featuring Lochdubh, Scotland's inadvertently charming red-headed constable, Hamish MacBeth.
Taking his cue from all the outwardly bumbling, instinctively genius police detectives of fiction, Hamish solves all the mysterious deaths in the Highlands. (And there are a LOT of them!) The Lochdubh books all feature the word "death" in the title and unlucky-in-love, lucky-in-murder Hamish MacBeth. They are fun, sometimes silly, quick and easy, perfect summertime reads for any mystery lover.
