Just four books this week. I ought to choose Colm Toibin's critically acclaimed Brooklyn, but Eilis is just so pliantly indecisive that I wanted to smack her from page 10 onward.
However, reinforcing your suspicions of my low-brow tastes, I'm choosing The Winning Hand by Nora Roberts. I just recently discovered Roberts' MacGregor series and I like all of them (so far). Pure fluff with a charming Scotsman overseeing the whole.
