It's near-enough-as-to-be-there time to start my Monday gardening posts. Granted, we aren't technically past the last frost date in my little pocket zone for another 6 weeks or so, but the trees are blooming (It seems like all of them at once!) and the weather's been gorgeous.
This weekend (and last) we began our preliminary clean up: leaves, sticks, dried up perennials that didn't get cut back last fall. So far we've filled 5 brown bags, but we haven't even dented the surface. I'm thinking more along the lines of a giant bonfire in the middle of the mini-orchard. I'm almost positive the pear trees won't mind. Not so sure about the neighbors... .
