Here's the take-away for me on the Trayvon Martin murder: "the mere fact of a child's blackness can be enough to make him a target."
I don't agree with a lot of what Al Sharpton says, but this killing is a modern-day lynching and Sharpton brought up a fascinating viewpoint when he said, "It is an unbelievable burden, and hard to articulate, that you’re born
automatically a suspect, and you have to operate and behave in a way
that does not exacerbate or incite someone’s paranoia."
No one should have to walk through life on eggshells.
