From the trenches

After being accused of belligerent status in the alleged wars on Christmas, religion, and class while at the same time not doing enough in the wars on terror and drugs, the Democrats decided to flip the tables and suggest that the 400% increase in proposed laws limiting or eliminating women's rights might be considered a "war on women."
Naturally, the Republicans are outraged that anyone could use such hyperbolic language.
Yes, it's hyperbole. But really, after four-plus years of fighting the "war on Christmas" by forcing retailers to do away with the word holiday, being upset at the use of the word war to describe the systematic reduction of rights and liberties accorded to people of my gender is ridiculously hypocritical.
The good ole boys proposing these laws may not think they're waging a war, but I assure you that those of us who are being patted on the head and told we aren't qualified to decide what we do with our own bodies feel as if we are under attack.
