I'm not a big fan of reality TV in general, although there are a few shows that I enjoy. And I don't know why it hasn't occurred to me until now, but reality shows like Dancing with the Stars and American Idol and The Amazing Race are all 21st century versions of game shows. They are Name That Tune and Joker's Wild and Match Game on steroids.
And then, thinking that, makes me nostalgic for Paul Lynde and Wayland Flowers and Madame.
If you had to google any of these references because you are too young to have heard of Gene Rayburn or Monty Hall, please do not tell me.

I remember Flowers and Madame had a syndicated half-hour show back in the early 80s. I loved it.
