Just about a year ago, I recommended Stephanie Barron's most recent Jane Austen mystery. And today history repeats itself. Barron's newest is Jane and the Madness of Lord Byron in which a sleuthing Jane Austen solves a murder and exonerates Lord Byron.
The period detail is lacking, but the vocabulary and characterizations more than make up for it. And isn't it fun to imagine what these two would have talked about?
