Spring break

I took a mini-break/long-weekend there. (In case you didn't notice.) I don't know what it is about being away from home that screws with my dubious writing skills, but I have a hard time composing anything, let alone anything worthy of my decidedly low standards.
I did read a couple books that I could have tipped in a Friday Book Blog, but frankly, they weren't worth it.
So here I am back home (and have been all weekend --woohoo!) with the uppermost topic in my mind being the fantastic taste of spring we had yesterday. Not only was it gloriously warm, reaching 68°F, but the sun peeked out of the clouds a few times too.
I should have taken advantage of the weather and raked out the woodland garden bed under the oak tree out back, but instead we walked up to the grocery store and bought some meat for the grill. While I can pat myself on the back for the two and a half mile hike, I still have a mound of oak leaves on the garden that needs cleaned up.
