Extraneous H burg

We spent the weekend in Pittsburgh with my lovely friend and her wonderful family. I've never spent any time in Pittsburgh before.
As soon as you move away from the center of downtown, you get the sense of a higgledy-piggledy smooshed-together town with houses and streets pancaked it wherever they could put them. Between the rivers and hills, you can understand the twisty-turney organic nature of the sprawl.

It makes for a picturesque vista, but the traffic and the constant need for GPS (even for residents!), precludes any desire I might have had to live there.
