Friday Book Blogging

The top book this week was a bit of a surprise when I first cracked its cover. I had borrowed the book based on the fact that the author writes a series whose main character is the Hangman's daughter.
I liked those books and mistakenly thought The Ludwig Conspiracy was the next in the series by Oliver Pötzsch. It is not. Instead it's a DaVinci Code-style thriller based in modern day with flashbacks to the final year of Ludwig II of Bavaria's rule.
I had a lot of fun traveling through Bavaria, visiting Ludwig's magnificent castles with Steven Lukas and Sara Lengfeld. I learned a bit about the final days of Mad King Ludwig too.
