Keep the lights on

On this day in 1978, Cleveland became the first city in the nation to default on its loans since the Great Depression. All in the name of saving Cleveland Public Power (at that time Muny Light).
Today, Cleveland Public Power still exists. Our city is no longer in default. And Travel + Leisure says it's a great place to visit.
But I already knew that.
