Family traditions
I know it's well past Thanksgiving, but I have to say that I'm thankful that my mother hails from the part of Norway where pork is the traditional Christmas meal and not the alternative. I am deeply grateful to say that I have never tasted, despite my very real Norwegian ancestry, lutefisk. Instead, we celebrate with pork roast, sucol, riscrem, aquavit, and a visit from Julenisse every December 24th.
MERRY CHRISTMAS (or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or Ramadan, or Solstice, or December 24th) TO YOU ALL.
