Spying good? or bad?

Sadly, No! and AMERICAblog (among others) have already covered this, but I do think it's worth repeating:
You know Mr. Bush is doing something wrong if only 64% of those surveyed agreed that "the National Security Agency (NSA) should be allowed to intercept telephone conversations between terrorism suspects in other countries and people living in the United States." 64%!!! More than 64% of Americans think Survivor MCMXXXVI is a good idea.
I want to make it clear that I do think it's a good idea to intercept telephone conversations bewteen any terrorist suspects no matter what their nationality or country of residence PROVIDED A VALID LEGAL COURT WARRANT IS ISSUED IN ADVANCE. This is the key as to why the numbers are so low. We infer in the question from the poll the information about the illegality of the actions that the NSA has taken. I can only hope that more investigation into their actions leads to further outrage and ultimately real accountability, which has been sorely lacking in this administration.
