"WASHINGTON - The Bush administration publicly asserted that two trailers captured by U.S. troops in Iraq in May 2003 were mobile 'biological laboratories' even after U.S. intelligence officials had evidence that it was not true, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday." [Reuters]

What part of this do the thousands of Americans who still think Bush is an okay guy just not get?

I've visited your site many times and always enjoy your eclectic topics and tongue-in-cheek perspectives. I'm finally posting a comment, though it has nothing to do with Bush. I hope.

I saw that Norway is among your interests. What's your connection to "the land of the ice and snow"?

I'm half Norwegian--something I've always been proud of, though I remain largely ignorant of my ancestry and the culture itself. I’ve eaten my share of lutefisk and lefse, however. My romantic vision always stirs when I hear the Beatles' Norwegian Wood, Wagner's Ride of the Valkyrie, or Zeppelin's Immigrant Song. To this day, Hagar the Horrible holds a warm spot in my heart. I'm half-Norwegian too. Although I have no romantic notions about lutefisk, lefse or Wagner. I am a big fan of Grieg, bunads and pepparkake.

Bunads. Really?

Other than In the Hall of the Mountain King, I don't know much about Grieg. Not that I know much about Wagner either, as far as that goes.

Damn! I just might be one of those ignorant people you enjoy making fun of.
