Hangin' offense

So Saddam's gonna hang. He's a bad guy. And ultimately he was responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people, if not more.
I do have to wonder why, after so much zealotry in the pursuit of Saddam, we didn't pursue others with the same track record. Augusto Pinochet, for example, lived to the ripe old age of 91 with the U.S. stonewalling any attempt to bring him to justice.
Saddam Hussein's hanging seems a bit hypocritical based on that one example alone. And we know that there are more.

I totally agree with you. Many others should be brought to justice. Unfortunately, this things have nothing to do with doing what's right and making justice prevail. They are all political and strategic games played by the most powerfull nations. That's the sorry world we live in today. Fortunately, there is still individuals who seek peace, respect of human rights, equality and justice. And when individuals join their voices together, it becomes a lion roar, and it has the power to change the world. Individuals, not politicians, can make a difference.
