Ka-blewy

Tomorrow the Fulton Road bridge comes down. The bridge spans a valley that (among other things) houses the Cleveland MetroParks Zoo. "The animals will be secured in their night quarters during the implosion, comforted by their keepers from the noise and debris until given an all-clear."

How would you like to comfort the polar bear while this falls 110 feet to the ground?

UPDATE: It's gone now. Watch it here.

As a note: the bridge did not come down. All those Texas demolition experts couldn't make the bridge fall. They set off their explosives, but that stubborn bridge, which has been closed for about a year because it was in immenent danger of falling, is still standing.

They'll try again NEXT weekend.
