My cup runneth over

At the most incredible dinner I've ever had (and most likely ever will have) we met the sommelier who had done the wine pairings. He was wearing that silver cup-thingy that really pretentious wine people wear like a medal. And I had to know what exactly it is called. Since I couldn't ask him without thoroughly embarrassing myself and family, I dug online. Tastevin in case you're wondering. Pronounced through your nose as Taht-vahN. Ooooo, I'm so cosmopolitan now.

The word was actually coined by an old Jewish man. A sommelier asked him what wine he wanted to use during a Seder and he pointed and said, "Taht vahn."
