IKEA is recalling jars of herring due to glass being found in two jars (one in Germany and one in Sweden). I could make a nasty comment about how people who actually eat herring should expect vile things in the containers in which it comes, but I will refrain in deference to the four people who actually like herring (my mother being one of them).
Instead, I'd like to point out to the head of IKEA Food Norway, Dan Nesvold, that contrary to his statement: "There has not been any glass found in herring sold in Norway at least. Then I would have been the first person to know about it," he would NOT have been the first person to know about it. The first person would have been the herring-lover with the cut lip.

Perhaps he's the country's largest consumer of herring?
(Bleh.)
I should point out that my Significant Other bought a can of herring at Ikea about two years ago, and it's sitting uneaten in our pantry drawer. Perhaps this is a good excuse for me to throw it away.
Question for you--where in the Blogger template do you get the triangle thingees next to your archive?
