It is an incongruity that the first "of Leonardo's civil engineering designs to be constructed for public use" is in Norway.
Sketched in 1502, and designed to span the Bosphorus at the Golden Horn in what today is Turkey, it now crosses highway E-18 in the township of Ås, Norway.
