Last week's books.

I've not listed the books that I consumed over the long weekend, so I'm doing so here:
Locked Rooms by Laurie R. King. Sherlock Holmes and Mary Russell, the most recent (but hopefully not final) chapter.
Bridal Trap by Lorena McCourtney. Pure trash.
The Merlot Murders by Ellen Crosby. Wine and a murder mystery.
Shakespeare, The World as Stage by Bill Bryson. A concise non-history of a man of whom we know very little.
Everlasting by Nancy Thayer. Tripe. And dull tripe at that.
Dreaming of the Bones by Deborah Crombie. Superintendent Duncan Kincaid again.
The Accidental Bride by Janice Harayda. Poorly-written tripe with thinly-veiled disgust for my hometown woven throughout.

Yes, I read them all. No skimming. But the tripe and trash represent only about six hours' work. The King and Crombie, though very good, are really only for mystery fans. The Shakespeare was excellent, though.

Have you ever read The Daughter of time by Josephine Tey?

No, but I've put it on my list for the next library visit. Thanks!
